Compassionate Counselling.

'Neoma' is a Greek name meaning 'new moon', which feels like the perfect metaphor for the transformational experience counselling can offer. The personal growth, self-acceptance, clarity, and healing that can arise from effective counselling often provides clients with a sense of entering a new chapter, or phase, and with that, a time of renewed hope and potential.

My approach to therapy is rooted in my deep connection to nature. I've trained in nature-based and embodied therapeutic practices, and I work as a woodland-based counsellor because I believe there's something uniquely restorative about talking and walking among trees. The rhythm of movement settles our nervous systems, the woodland offers a quiet constancy, and together we're gently encouraged toward both inward reflection and curiosity about the world around us. I'm drawn to this work because I understand how nature helps us become more grounded and present; how mindfulness unfolds naturally when we're paying attention to our breath, our footsteps, and the seasons shifting around us.

A little more about myself and my values: I enjoy walking in woodland (no surprises there), hiking in the Peaks, and camping in quiet countryside. I value simple things; a savoured morning coffee, getting lost in a book, a yoga practice that keeps me grounded and present. I try to move through the world with care and attention, noticing the small moments that give life meaning. This calm focus didn't come all at once; it's something I've grown into slowly and intentionally. I know just how precious contentment can feel when life has been busy, overwhelming, or uncertain. This understanding shapes how I work with you.
