Hi, I’m Carla.

I am a counsellor specialising in supporting children and young people aged 7+, as well as adult clients who are drawn to a gentle, relational approach.

I offer warm, compassionate one-to-one therapy sessions both indoors and outdoors, including walk-and-talk sessions through peaceful woodland. This calm, natural setting can be especially supportive for young people and adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply in need of space to breathe and reconnect with themselves.

If indoor therapy feels more comfortable, I also offer sessions at Sheffield Wellness Centre or online via Zoom.

However we meet, my intention is always to create a space where you or your child feel safe, heard, and supported.

My Therapeutic Style

My approach to counselling is gentle, down-to-earth, and rooted in the belief that we all have the ability to heal and grow - sometimes we just need the right support to help us find our way. I’m a person-centred counsellor, which means I work in a way that is shaped around you or your child’s needs, pace, and preferences. I hold deep respect for each person as the expert in their own experiences and inner world. My role is not to ‘fix’ or direct, but to walk alongside with warmth, curiosity, and care as we gently untangle whatever has been feeling heavy or overwhelming. Together, we can explore what matters to you, what’s getting in the way, and how you might start to feel more calm, clear, and confident in your own path.

Outdoor Therapy

When life feels heavy or overwhelming, being outside can offer a sense of relief. Walking through the woods can help ease anxious thoughts, lift low mood, and create a gentle space to begin untangling what’s on your mind. Being side by side with your therapist often feels less intense than sitting face to face, and the quiet, natural surroundings can make it easier to open up. It’s a calm, gentle way to start tapping into your thoughts, at whatever pace feels right for you.

There are session slots currently available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please get in touch for specific timings.

Each session is priced at £50 per 50 minutes. Concession rates are also available.

Your first session is offered at a reduced rate of £25.
Counselling works best when you feel a positive connection with your counsellor, and that’s something you can only really get a sense of by having a real life conversation. The lower rate for your first session gives you a chance to see how you feel without a big financial commitment or any pressure to sign up for further sessions.

We’ll use this initial appointment to chat about what’s brought you here, what you’d like support with, and what you’re hoping to gain from counselling.

You’re free to choose the setting that suits you best, whether that’s a walk through the soothing paths of Ecclesall Woods, a calm and comfortable room at the Sheffield Wellness Centre, or online via Zoom.
